**Labour Community Services of Peel is proud to support front-line truck drivers in organizing the Justice for Truck Drivers campaign with legal information, workshops, and skill building.
We are truck drivers fighting for our rights. We often experience misclassification, wage theft, harassment, and unsafe working conditions. Most of us are racialized immigrants. As essential front-line workers, we demand laws and infrastructure we can depend on for decent, safe and just working conditions. We encourage all truck drivers and supporters to join our movement.
ਅਸੀਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਟਰੱਕ ਡਰਾਇਵਰ ਹਾਂ ਜੋ ਸਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੁੰਦੀਆਂ ਬੇਇਨਸਾਫ਼ੀਆਂ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਲੜ ਰਹੇ ਹਾਂ। ਸਾਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤੀ ਵਾਰ ਵੇਜ ਥੈਪਟ, (ਪੇਅ ਨਾ ਦੇਣੀ) ਮਿਸਕਲਾਸੀਫਿਕੇਸ਼ਨ, ਧੱਕੇਸ਼ਾਹੀ ਅਤੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਦੀ ਘਾਟ ਦਾ ਸਾਹਮਣਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਸਾਡੇ ‘ਚੋਂ ਬਹੁਤੇ ਇੰਮੀਗਰਾਂਟ ਹਨ। ਅਸੀਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਫਰੰਟਲਾਈਨ ਵਰਕਰ ਹੋਣ ਕਰਕੇ ਇਹ ਮੰਗ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਟਰੱਕਿੰਗ ਇੰਡਸਟਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਕਾਨੂੰਨ ਤੇ ਲੋੜੀਂਦੇ ਸਾਧਨ ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹੇ ਹੋਣ ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਡਰਾਇਵਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਧੀਆ ਕੰਮ, ਸਰੁੱਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਆਂ ਮਿਲ ਸਕੇ। ਅਸੀਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਟਰੱਕ ਡਰਾਇਵਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਹਮਦਰਦ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੁਰ-ਜ਼ੋਰ ਅਪੀਲ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਇਸ ਮੂਵਮੈਂਟ ਦਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਬਣਨ।

- 🤝 Protection from unjust dismissal
- 🛡️ Respect at work
- 🦺 Protection from injury and death
- 🏗️ Better infrastructure for truck drivers on routes and borders
- ⚖️ Effective enforcement by the Ministry of Labour
- 💰 Harsher consequences for employers that break the law
- ✊ Easier to unionize
- 🌎 Ensure full and permanent immigration status for all
ਸਾਡੀਆਂ ਮੰਗਾਂ ਇਹ ਹਨ
• ਮਿਸਕਲਾਸੀਫੀਕੇਸ਼ਨ ਬੰਦ ਹੋਵੇ
• ਚੰਗੀ ਪੇਅ ਹੋਵੇ
• ਗਲਤ ਤਰੀਕੇ ਨਾਲ ਕੰਮ ਤੋਂ ਨਾ ਹਟਾਏ ਜਾਣ ਦੀ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਹੋਵੇ
• ਕੰਮ ‘ਤੇ ਵਰਕਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਮਾਣ ਬਰਕਰਾਰ ਰਹੇ
• ਕੰਮ ‘ਤੇ ਸੱਟਾਂ ਲੱਗਣ ਅਤੇ ਮੌਤਾਂ ਹੋਣ ਵਰਗੀਆਂ ਘਟਨਾਵਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਮਿਲੇ
• ਟਰੱਕ ਡਰਾਇਵਰਾਂ ਲਈ ਰੂਟ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਰਡਰ ‘ਤੇ ਚੰਗੀਆਂ ਸਹੂਲਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧ ਹੋਵੇ
• ਮਨਿਸਟਰੀ ਆਫ ਲੇਬਰ ਬੋਰਡ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਫੈਸਲੇ ਸਖ਼ਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਸ਼ਾਲੀ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਲਾਗੂ ਹੋਣ
• ਜਿਹੜੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਕਾਨੂੰਨ ਤੋੜਦੇ ਹਨ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸਦੇ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਨਤੀਜੇ ਭੁਗਤਣੇ ਪੈਣ
• ਯੂਨੀਅਨਾਂ ਬਣਾਉਂਣਾ ਸੌਖਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇ
